A reliable, affordable energy supply for Indiana and the nation is critical for our national security and for the success of our economy. When we have abundant coal, wind, natural gas, and other energy sources waiting to be tapped, it is against good common sense to rely on foreign energy. Putting this principle into practice, I authored and passed legislation to create the Clean Coal Technology Center at Purdue, one of the largest and most innovative of its kind.
As your representative in Washington, I will play a key role to ensure we have a national energy policy that anticipates using homegrown forms of domestic energy production. This means autonomy from foreign countries and job creation right here in Indiana.
This just makes sense.
